“I am quite picky and particular when it comes to my private home and was quite nervous about who would do my floors! Alliance Flooring was chosen after a few interviews I had with other companies and individuals. They came out head and shoulders above the rest. Not only did they make me feel confident that they could do the job, but had a lot of selection in their store and they spent an hour with me explaining all the different options. I was allowed to keep 4 samples in my condo for a few days as I had a hard time deciding between a few types of wood and colours. I had an extremely busy schedule, as I was traveling a lot and the week I booked them was between my Calgary and Vancouver trip so they had literally a week window to work with me before I had to be off on another trip. When he came over for the quote he measured everything and told me it would take them a day maximum 2 days to do my job which amazed me as others said anywhere from 2-4 days! So in Calgary I called and booked them to go ahead, it just felt right! There were 2 guys that did the job and they were focused, friendly and professional. The first day they were almost done, the next day they finished in a couple of hours. They took out all the carpet, under pad and nails from 3 rooms, installed floors including 2 large closets, put in corner round, took out and put back a closet sliding door, cleaned up (sweeping) and left me with floor cleaning kit as a thank you!Fantastic!!”

Alliance, where's my key?!

“We had our flooring done in August. I was very excited about the project because Lehel came across as very knowledgable when he did the estimate. The quote was professional looking and the price was reasonable. The product was delivered as promised and I was assured that the job would take 3-4 days and would therefore be done by the end of the next week. Unfortunately, the work ended up dragging for over 2 weeks because insufficient materials had been ordered. My main concern with the service is that they took our key and have not yet returned it. I have been assured several times over the phone by Susan that the key has not been lost and that I will get it back shortly, but more than a month has passed and I still do not have my key. Also, a cracked piece of trim broke off of our stairs and when I called to report it, I was told by Lehel that someone would call me and come out in the next couple of days. This was three weeks ago. I am not confident that I will be able to receive any after installation service from this company. In fact, I was asked to sign for the balance of my payment by Susan before the job was completed but I refused. I am now very glad that I did not trust them to finish the work after they had been paid. The work is satisfactory overall although I think they should have installed the stairs before the flooring so that the flooring would not have gotten chipped and spots of glue on it.” | | |
